ZK323 On static display at RNAS Yeovilton Air Day 2013. This aircraft belongs to No. XI Sqn., one of the oldest fighter squadrons of the RAF that was briefly based in India during World War II. 5368 Inverted Jenny on display at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago. The Jenny saw widespread use as a trainer with the U.S. Army Air Service, as an airmail carrier and for barnstorming and joyrides. The model D was powered by a 90 h.p. Curtiss OX-5 engine. 2699 On display at IWM London. This B.E.2c was probably built around 1916. By Feb. 1917 it was on the strength of No. 50 Home Defence Sqn., Royal Flying Corps at Dover to intercept Zeppelins . It went on to two Night Training Squadrons and to No. 51 Sqn. RAF in Norfolk. After a forced landing, it was withdrawn from use and transferred to the museum in Sept. 1919. (mehr von 2699)

931884 On display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, National Air and Space Museum. This Fw-190 was built as an A-7 in late 1943. After battle damage, it was rebuilt as an F-8 Jagdbomber with new wings and bomb racks. It wears the code White 7 of I./SG2 operating on the Eastern Front in Oct. 1944. NS519 On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The USAAF operated the Mosquito as a photographic and weather reconnaissance aircraft, nightfighter and for Red Stocking intelligence gathering missions. This Mosquito with a red tail is painted to represent an aircraft of the 653rd Bombardment Sqn. based in England in 1944-45 that conducted Blue Stocking weather reconnaissance missions, as well as dropping chaff. 501232 On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. This is Yellow 5 of KG(J)6, which retrained from the bomber to fighter role toward the end of the war, as denoted by the (J) for Jäger. After its capture in 1945, it was shipped to the USA aboard HMS Reaper for evaluation. The restoration has omitted both the Yellow 5 as well as the checked identification band applied to Reichsverteidigung fighters on the fuselage. (mehr von 501232)
0-37661 On display at the Royal Thai Air Force Museum. The RTAF operated the Trojan from 1962 to 1988. It was flown by No. 221, 222, 223 and 224 Sqn. and some 120 aircraft came from the USAF. Hard points and a gun pod can be seen under the wing. (mehr von 0-37661)
687 On display at RAF Museum Hendon. The B.E.2b was the first RFC aircraft to be sent to France in Aug. 1914 after the outbreak of the war. By late 1915 it was outclassed and easy prey for German fighters. The B.E.2b had some success as a Home Defence night fighter by downing several Zeppelins. This replica represents the B.E.2b flown by 2nd Lt Rhodes-Moorhouse who made a bombing attack on Cambrai on 26 April 1915. He was posthumously awarded the first Victoria Cross to an airman. IA1329 The IAF's first "supersonic-in-a-dive" fighter on display at IAF Museum Palam. This recently restored Mystere has the striking emblem of No. 8 Sqn. "Eight Pursoot" on the port side. It also equipped No. 1 "Tigers", No. 3 "Cobras", No. 31 "Lions" and No. 32 "Thunderbirds" Sqn. In Sept. 1965, a Mystere flown by Sq Ldr AB Devayya was intercepted and fatally damaged near Sargodha by a PAF F-104 Starfighter, which in turn was shot down by the vastly outclassed Mystere. H-3404 On display at Museum Pusat TNI-AU Dirgantara Mandala. This Seahorse started its service with the USMC in Jan. 1960, after which it was stationed at MCAS Futenma with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 (HMM-364) "Purple Foxes". It then went to the RVNAF as a UH-34D before returning back to the USA, then passed into civilian hands as an S-58T. In 1978 it was sold to Indonesia and operated by Skadron Udara 6. (mehr von H-3404)
