The caption reads Aircraft Wreckage Field : This place stores wreckage of French and American aircraft (including B52 strategic bombers) downed by men of Vietnam's air defence. The Phantom displayed crashed on May 14th, 1967, when during a strike on anti-aircraft defences near the Than Hoa bridge, both engines flamed out and could not be restarted. The crew (L.F. 5033 Pictured in the B52 Victory Museum, this MiG-21 is credited with shooting down three American aircraft. Two of the victories are known to be USAF F-4Es 67-0292 and 67-0234, both shot down on December 27th, 1972 by Tran Viet. This aircraft is shown armed with four K-13A (AA-2 Atoll) IR-homing missiles [Nikon D200]
