ZD950 These ex RAF Tristars all arrived by air in about 2014 and have been stored since. There was a possibility some years ago of them going to the USA for an American contract but I believe that contract fell through and the aircraft remain here stored and deteriorating (mehr von ZD950)

Most of these aircraft were kept in live taxying condition but the runway is now used for car storage this is now longer possible and the aircraft have moved in to a fenced off enclosure which will be open to the public in time as a small static museum. Aircraft are Canberra, Hunter, Sea Vixen, F104 Starfighter, Meteor, Lightning and inside the QRA shed are two more Lightnings.

XS235 A sad situation at Bruntingthorpe where the airfield is now used for car storage and the live aircraft that are capable of being taxied are now stored in a small corner of the airfield surrounded by containers. Also seen here is the Victor XM715 and the Nimrod XV229 (mehr von XS235)
