F-OHJL On April 16th, 2004, this airccraft plunged into the Faa'a airport lagoon and sank after the pilot reported difficulties with the controls. The plane was on a routine trial flight following some mechanical overhaul. There were no casualties and both the pilot and a mechanic got out of it uninjured. Below the cockpit, a barge with two cranes can be seen in the distance; operations are in progress to retrieve the wreck of the Air Archipels Beechcraft F-OHJL that landed and sank down into the lagoon where it lay at a depth of about 70 feet.
